This website
This is a simple static website. It has no forms, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
Our YouTube channel
When you watch our videos or comment on them, YouTube handles your information under the Google Privacy Policy. As the channel owner we only see what YouTube shows every channel: public comments, and anonymous, aggregated statistics such as views, watch time and subscriber counts. YouTube does not give us the names or email addresses of people who watch.
If you comment, we see your public comment and channel name, as everyone can, and our tool may read and reply to it.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering comments (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- You can delete your comment on YouTube at any time.
Our upload tool and the YouTube API
We use a small tool of our own to manage our channel through YouTube API Services: it uploads our videos, thumbnails and captions, updates our channel description, replies to comments, and reads our own channel's statistics.
- The tool is used only by Rulebook Math, for the Rulebook Math channel. It is not offered to the public, and it does not access anyone else's YouTube or Google account.
- The access it was granted is stored encrypted on our own equipment and is never shared or sold.
- By using our channel you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Any Google account's access for third-party tools can be reviewed and revoked at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the messages people send us (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- How long we keep it: 12 months after our last contact with you, then we delete the conversation. Sooner if you ask.
- We do not sell, rent or share it, and we do not use it for advertising or newsletters.
- Our email is hosted by Google (Gmail), which handles it on our behalf. Google may store it outside the EU, under the safeguards described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or erased. You can also ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to our use of it. Email rulebookmath@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY): imy.se. You can also complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
